I have started Papilion client and have logged in. What is next?

Papilion starts downloading orders from eBay after a minute of GUI launch. This happens if eBay Automatic Download (enabled by default) is not disabled.

If new orders are downloaded, the icon on 'Renew' button (toolbar) is changed. Clicking on 'Renew' button will show up the downloaded orders on 'Pick' & 'Pack' screens, ready to be processed.

How do I download my orders from eBay?

If eBay Automatic Download (enabled by default) is not disabled, Papilion keeps downloading new orders from eBay in the background at set intervals.

You may also initiate downloads manually if required. Click on the arrow next to 'Renew' button on the toolbar and select 'Reload eBay'.

Why are my labels not printing?

If labels are not printing, check the following:

1. At least one layout designer is available. Go to 'Designer' tab under 'Settings' and check if layout designs are available.

2. Layout designs are associated with Shipping Services or any one of the designs is set as default. Go to 'Shipping Labels' tab under 'Settings'. Check if association rows are available for your shipping services in the table. Also, check if ny layout is set as default. If a design is set as default, the icon next to it will be shown as green. The default design is used for the shipping services for which no association is declared.

3. Label printer is specified. Go to 'Shipping Labels' tab under 'Settings' and check if 'Print Shipping Label' checkbox is checked and correct printer is selected. If you want to generate a soft copy, make sure 'Generate Soft Copy' checkbox is selected and a target path is specified. Target path should have write access enabled for the user.

How do I stop labels from printing automatically?

In case you do not want Shipping Label to be printed as part of workflow when the "Invoice" button is clicked on "Pack" screen then go to 'Invoice' tab under 'Settings' and uncheck the "Print Shipping Label" checkbox.

You can still print labels by clicking on Print icon on the toolbar and select 'Label' from the popped up menu. This option is available on 'Pack' and 'Orders' screens. Make sure you have selected a single order by clicking on the relevant tree node ('Pack' screen) or table row ('Orders' screen). Please note that selecting the checkbox does not matter here as checkboxes are used only in case of Batch Labels.

Why do I sometimes get "invalid session" error?

After you log in on the Papilion client, the session remains valid for a few hours before it is killed on the server. All you need to do on getting this error is to login again. Click on 'File | Login' menu available on the menu bar to bring up the login dialog.
