3  Workflow

Papilion aims to provide you a workflow for processing orders. It helps define the whole work in processes wherein each process is depicted by one screen making things simpler and easier to handle. Each process lets you mark your orders as either picked, packed or dispatched. These are intermediary stages an order flows through from its initial status of "Paid" to finally "Shipped" as marked on eBay.

An order can be flagged to state occurence of an event that causes an issue in order fulfillment such as out-of-stock, due-in, etc.

Invoicing and label printing is part of the packing process in the workflow making order handling smooth and from within one application.

The processes involved in the workflow are:

3.1  Pick

It lets you print a picking list, mark items as collected or flagged those with issues. A useful feature where item collection and packing are done separately.

3.2  Pack

This process lets you mark your orders as "packed" in packaging such as boxes or packets. Once the order is marked as packed you can print Invoice and Labels on click of one button. You can also mark an order as "unpacked" if needed.

3.3  Ship

Finally, the order can be marked as "dispatched" one delivery is made. Dispatched is treated as an intermediary stage before "shipped" as at this stage eBay is not updated. A notification is sent to eBay for all the dispatched orders on click of a button. This updates the status of the orders on eBay as "Shipped".
